Reflection

The objective of this assignment was to make old, low quality photos better. I think I was successful at improving both these photos. To accomplish this, I started by giving the photos a higher contrast and adjusting highlights and shadows in Light room. I turned the first one to black and white because it helped get rid of some of the glare and strange bluish color. Next, in Photoshop, I used the spot healing brush tool to eliminate the darker spots and grain in the photos. I also used the dodge tool to highlight areas such as the man's hair and then used the burn tool to add needed shadows. The most difficult part was trying to determine where the woman's hair stopped at. Overall, I enjoyed this assignment because I thought it was fun to use the spot removing tool and I was impressed with how much a photo can be transformed.
